Welcome!

Welcome to my new website. I have had the site for a long time but did not do much with it but now I have totally rebuilt the site and plan on using it as a photo gallery / travel blog. I have started out with a few galleries and plan on building many more. Some will be new photos and others will be old photos from my archives. By adding the blog to the gallery, I hope to be able to add new material regularly. My first How to Page is “How to Photograph Fireworks“. While I do not claim to be the ‘Expert’, I have learned a lot in my photographic journeys and I am willing to share what I have learned.

The New Bay Bridge

First Blog Post

September is here and Summer is over. That is ok, Autumn is my favorite season. I like to travel and get outside more in Autumn. This will be my first Blog post. I have written some ‘How To’ and Gallery posts but this is my first of the hopefully regular blog posts. My plan is to make this a travel and photography site but we will see where the blog goes.

I am planning several RV trips and one car trip to Wisconsin Dells. One of the RV trips will be to Niagara Falls Canada. There is a nice campground right in the hotel row and a bus that goes to the falls. Hope to get some good photos of the lights on the falls. A few trips, we will be ‘boondocking’ and staying without hookups. Only the batteries, water and storage tanks in the RV. We have been boondocking for a few days at a time and could probably stay almost a week if we drive to charge the batteries.

Roadtrek Zion SRT

This is our new Roadtrek Zion SRT. We traded the old Roadtrek in last January. This one is 21 feet long and will fit into a standard parking place. Also fits along side of my house. It has lithium batteries and will even run the air conditioner an hour or two on battery. We are looking for another cross country trip next summer.

For this month, the website is totally revamped and I have added many galleries for you to look at. Also added two ‘How to’ pages. One is ‘How to Photograph Fireworks’ because many of you were asking on Facebook. The other is using vintage lenses on digital cameras. Most of my photography work is done with my vintage lenses and I wrote a page on how you can do the same.

The Galleries can be found in the right hand upper widget. Click on the image to see the gallery. There are lots of galleries but a good start is Pete’s Favorites. It is a compilation of some of my favorite photos.
